This policy explains what happens to data when you use Grille, an iOS and Android app that plays tones through your device speaker to help clear water and dust from the speaker grille.
Grille has no accounts and no servers of its own. It never records audio and never requests microphone access. What it stores about you stays on your device. Three third-party services โ RevenueCat for purchases, Google AdMob for ads, and Firebase for crash reports and usage counts โ receive limited technical data, described below.
Grille is developed and operated by Hamid Hamidbayli ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact hemidbeyli2020@gmail.com.
The app saves your settings and usage counters locally using your operating system's standard app storage. This never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. It includes:
Grille includes three third-party software development kits. Each one processes data under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Purpose | Data processed |
|---|---|---|
| RevenueCat | Managing subscriptions and verifying purchases | A randomly generated anonymous user identifier, purchase and receipt information from Apple or Google, subscription status, device model, operating system version and country |
| Google AdMob | Showing ads to users on the free tier | Advertising identifier, IP address, device model, operating system version, coarse region derived from IP, and interactions with ads |
| Firebase (Google) | Reporting crashes and counting which screens and routines are used, so faults get fixed and the app is built around what people actually run | A randomly generated installation identifier, the names of screens opened, which cleaning routine was run and whether it finished, counts and timings, device model, operating system version, coarse region derived from IP, and crash diagnostics |
Their policies: RevenueCat Privacy Policy ยท How Google uses information from partner apps ยท Firebase Privacy and Security
Purchases themselves are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see or receive your payment card details.
Ads are shown only to users who have not purchased Grille Pro. Purchasing Pro removes all ads, and the advertising SDK is not initialised at all for Pro users.
Before any personalised advertising identifier is used, iOS shows you the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Tracking.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings โ Google โ Ads.
Grille is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will address it.
Because we hold no account and no server-side profile, there is normally nothing for us to look up, export or delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with comparable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port personal data, and to object to its processing. For data held by RevenueCat or Google in connection with the app, contact us at hemidbeyli2020@gmail.com and we will forward your request to the relevant processor. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
On-device data is kept until you delete the app. RevenueCat retains purchase records for as long as needed to honour your subscription and meet legal and tax obligations. Google retains advertising data according to its own policy.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the app.
